Folk or Speed Metal? Either Way...
Donkey Cart would dominate... just saying the name makes me want to buy albums and see them live.

A good sound, certainly...
Pure Hi-Fi is a band that would deliver the sound... maybe in the same scene as the Strokes, but a little more experimental.

Now I Know, and it Leads Me to...
In an earlier post, I suggested that Canada Likely would be a good name for a band, but I couldn't figure out when they might have played.
As I was coming to work, I heard a song by Fountains of Wayne, and it clicked--this is the sort of band that Canada Likely would be.
I also thought that this particular Fountains of Wayne song Hey Julie would be a good name for a band... they would have been playing around the same time as either the Lemonheads or 'Til Tuesday (with Aimee Mann)--completely different times and styles, but they would both work.

The Band that Inspired Nirvana?
Super Potty Mouth... My son's birthday, and this came up... almost, but not quite, as good a name as Hellbilly (an actual Pittsburgh band).
Think Dinosaur Jr. and the like... Super Potty Mouth almost made it to the top... now, that's my band name.
Different Fathers...

Hard to get a crowd, but...
I always thought Sold Out would be a good name... Sell Out would be good as an 80/90s punk band puttin' it to the man.

Three in one...
I'm not sure when Canada Likely would have played, but Plastic Ingredient would have been inspired by the Velvet Underground, and Likely to Label would be an 80s New Wave band.

My 50s Doo Wop group...
Talking about the presidential race, this comes up often:

My 80s Punk Band...
Drunk Astronaut (Courtesy of...)
They might have been a part of the Athens, Georgia scene with REM , or toured with (perhaps one of my favorite band names) Killdozer.
